The ABSOLUTE BEST SHOW I have seen yet! The show was Sunday, November 17th in Phoenix, Arizona. Harry, along with the Funky Dunky, grooved and mooved us all. I have seen a dozen shows in the past two years and they were all fabulous, but this one takes the cake.

Harry performed a variety of tunes from Star Turtle, some New Orleans Mardi Gras jams, "America", "Drift Away", "Whisper Your Name", and by request, "It Must Have Been 'Ol Santa Claus". Then after having to borrow the She album cover so he could read the lyrics, he did "Between Us". He performed Professor Longhair's "Big Chief" and Sly and the Family Stone's "Thank You".

The horn section comprised of Dave, Dan, Nedd, and Mark was by far way too cool. As were the talents displayed by Jonathan, Raymond, Lucien and Tony. These guys were all fabulous. Harry gave them all a great deal of time to display their individual talents for everyone.

When the band took a break Harry asked if he could tell us about his day in Phoenix. Or should it be called an "adventure"? Harry and Kathey, his assistant, actually had to HITCHIKE a ride to Union Hall. The two walked about 9 or 10 miles and got lost. A man in a gremlin picked them up, where they both had to sit in the front seat. Crazy...

Thanks to Jessica in the Fan Club office, I had front row seats. Harry invited everyone to come closer so we packed the area in front of the stage as well as the aisles. Everyone wanted to get a better view of Harry while he played every instrument on stage and entertained us for almost three hours.

A very humorous part of the show was when some woman caught a drum stick. This older lady had one too many 'Wild Turkeys' and begged Harry to sign the stick with a pen while he was playing the guitar. She started to rub the stick on his leg and then on Jonathan. The band was laughing. After persistent begging Harry agreed to sign the stick. Instead he took it and threw it back to the audience. He gave her a lovely farewell with the spotlight as security escorted her out. The audience cheered!

I had an "after show" pass so about 15 of us gathered in the lobby where Harry came out and chatted with us. He signed autographs and let pictures be taken. I was honored by the acceptance of my request to take a picture with him. I flew from Kansas City to Arizona just to see the show and it was well worth it. No question!

I owe a big THANK YOU to everyone who made it possible and so much fun. I can't wait to see Harry and the guys again. They are PHENOMENONAL. I hope your experiences are as great as mine have all been.
