Okay, I probably don't have to tell you how awesome it was! I was lucky enough
to sit by 4 girls that squealed the whole time... nice. It was a great show!
Ned Gould and his trio opened with about 5 songs. It was really cool, but I
couldn't relax and enjoy it with the anticipation of Harry coming out at any
time. He played most of his new album. And he mentioned the connick.com
website. Yay! Okay, here's the playlist -- don't read it if you want to be
surprised at what he plays...
- Charade
- We Are in Love
- A Moment With Me
- Nowhere With Love
- Time After Time
- Love For Sale
- Next Door Blues
- Sleepy Time Down South [sung by Leroy Jones]
- On The Street Where You Live [very funny version filled with impersonations]
- It Had To Be You
- Easy to Love
- Cry Me A River
- If You're Going To New Orleans [?]
- Come By Me
ENCORE
- Cottontail
It was a great show. I was a little dissapointed by the encore that he didn't
sing at all. Oh well. Afterwards he came outside and signed autographs for
everyone outside -- it amazes me every time he does that. I was also really lucky
to meet and talk to Leroy Jones for a while. He was just standing around
talking to a group of guys he must have played with before or something. I
don't think anyone really knew who he was but me. So I got his autograph and
then the people he was with started talking to me and had me take a picture of
all of them together and stuff. It was awesome! Leroy told me they were
playing a private party in Chicago on Tuesday night, but that doesn't do me any
good! He also told me that he's not going to be on the tour after tomorrow's
show in Peoria because he's going to Europe on tour.
