The trail of destruction left by Hurricane Katrina has left some areas of Louisiana absolutely devastated. Several of our favorite musicians, including long time members of Harry's big bands, reside in parts of New Orleans that are reportedly completely under water.
Thankfully, we have received reports from many band members that they are safe, accounted for, and out of harm's way. However, the total destruction caused by the storm will be undetermined for weeks, especially on a personal level.
In an effort to provide some assistance to those musicians who will be rebuilding their lives in the affected areas, connick.com has created a relief fund. We hope that you will consider contributing to the fund by clicking one of the links below.
So many New Orleans musicians have touched our lives over the years. If you have met any of them in person, chances are you'll agree that they are quite possibly the warmest, most sincere group of individuals you will ever encounter. Our thoughts are with them and their families at this time, and we hope that they will be able to return to their homes shortly with as little disruption as possible.
We thank you for your time and support.
